Why couldn't Shri Ram and Lakshman answer Ravana's questions
Why did Shri Ram send his younger brother Lakshman to gain knowledge from Ravana - Shri Ram shot Ravana with an arrow in the navel, and says - Doli Bhoomi Gira Daskandhar, Puri's Puri The land shook when Ravana fell from the sky to the earth, everyone gathered around, Ravana's brother Vibhishana, Ram-Lakshman, everyone gathered. In Ravana's last moments, Lord Rama told Lakshman to learn something from Ravana. There was some doubt in Laxman's mind, after all to whom are they sending him to learn? We always had hatred towards Ravana - but it was the order of Lord Shri Ram. Lord Shri Ram knew that the learning that can be learned from there cannot be obtained from anywhere else - because Lord Shri Ram knew that Ravana is the expert of four Vedas and Puranas. Due to arrogance and pride, Ravana has committed many misdeeds, but he is also knowledgeable.
Why did Shri Ram ask Lakshman to go near the feet of Ravana - Then on the orders of Shri Ram, Lakshman ji goes to Ravana to learn something, then Lakshman ji goes and falls down. Due to arrogance, he stood near Ravana's head, but Ravana did not even talk to Lakshman, leave alone learning anything. Lord Shri Ram was watching all this from a distance, then orders Lakshman that to learn anything, one has to go to someone's feet, Lakshman ji then went to Ravana's feet and said - O great knowledgeable Ravana, you are proud of your ego. Because of this you have been killed, you are a very knowledgeable Pandit who knows the four Vedas. My brother Shri Ram Prabhu has sent me to you to learn something, if you teach me something in this last moment of my life, it will be a great favor to you.
What questions did Ravana ask Shri Ram and Lakshman - Ravana said to Lakshman, what should I teach you? My question is, if you answer, you will attain salvation. Then Lakshman ji said, Ravana, what do you want to learn from me, Ravana said, I have a question - Banavasi from you. Ravana never took the names of Ram and Lakshman in his entire life, he only called them forest dwellers because due to his ego, Ravana did not consider it appropriate to even take the names of Ram and Lakshman. Lakshman ji said, O great knowledgeable Ravana, ask what is your question, Ravana said, my question is that you are a Kshatriya, I am a Brahmin, I am bigger than you in the clan, I am the knower of the four Vedas, my knowledge is discussed in all the three worlds. I am greater than you in lineage, I am greater than you in knowledge, my army is greater than you, there were such warriors in my army that even the gods would tremble. My son had captured even Indra, I myself had captured even Kaal. I am greater than you in clan, I am greater than you in knowledge, my army is bigger and more powerful than your army, and the most important thing is that I was fighting on my own soil. My question to you is this - tell me why I lost? You two exile brothers, barefoot, came from across the seven seas and defeated me on my own land. Ravana, in whose name all three worlds tremble, whose orders are obeyed by death and death, I had kept Kuber, the god of wealth, captive. How is it possible that Ravana was defeated by two exile brothers who came barefoot. My question to you is, tell me - why did I lose? Lakshman ji said, O great knowledgeable Ravana, what should I answer to this, you can analyze it better. Ravana said, O Lakshman, this is what I want to teach you - you are characterful and I am characterless. I fell from a place from where it is not possible for any person to pick me up! This is a lesson for you Laxman. Ram Ram Ram!!!
